My View on the SPM Subjects

On 13 November 2011, all Form 4 students of SMK Sultan Badlishah registered for the SPM 2012. We are asked to choose the subjects we are taking. In SMK Sultan Badlishah, students are allowed to take a total of 9 to 12 subjects. Of all the subjects, Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Sejarah and Pendidikan Islam/Moral are compulsory. Biology, ICT, EST, Prinsip Perakaunan, Reka Cipta, Bahasa Cina and Bahasa Tamil are optional subjects that can be taken.

For SPM, I am taking a total of 10 subjects, that is Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Sejarah, Pendidikan Moral and Information & Communications Technology. There are also some other subjects that I once considered taking but at last I did not, that is Prinsip Perakaunan, Reka Cipta, EST, Bahasa Cina, Kesusasteraan Cina and Geografi. I am writing about my opinion on these subjects, in terms of difficulty, importance and interest.

Bahasa Melayu:
(Difficulty: High, Importance: High, Interesting: Low)

Bahasa Melayu is one of the most difficult among the SPM subjects. However, it is significantly easier to score in SPM Bahasa Melayu compared to PMR Bahasa Melayu and UPSR Bahasa Melayu. The reason is that SPM Bahasa Melayu does not contain the objective grammar questions that are found in PMR Bahasa Melayu and UPSR Bahasa Melayu. Objective grammar questions are very difficult. It mostly tests you on the usage of words. There are so many Malay words, so it is not possible to know all the words. Moreover, many words have very close meanings, so it is hard to determine the correct answer. It was because of those objective grammar questions that I always had problems with this subject during Standard 4 to Form 3. In SPM Bahasa Melayu, most of the marks are allocated for writing (130/240) and literature (41/240). Writing is not difficult because you only need to write on what you know and you can avoid writing what you do not know. Literature is not difficult because you can make full preparations on the stories and poems in the KOMSAS, and the exam will only test you on what you have learnt in KOMSAS. There are 2 papers in SPM Bahasa Melayu. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are equally difficult. Paper 1 consists of Karangan Bahan Rangsangan and Karangan Respons Terbuka. Paper 2 consists of Rumusan, Pemahaman KOMSAS, Tatabahasa and Novel. All sections are not difficult except Tatabahasa. Rumusan is the easiest of all sections while Tatabahasa is the most difficult section. Still, tatabahasa in SPM Bahasa Melayu is still easier than PMR and UPSR Bahasa Melayu, and it only contributes 30/240 (12.5%) of the marks.
SPM Bahasa Melayu is very important. In order to pass the SPM and enter Form 6, you must pass Bahasa Melayu. If you are applying local universities, matriculation or scholarships, you must score well in SPM Bahasa Melayu. If you fail this subject, you will fail the entire SPM and the SPM certificate will not be given. Bahasa Melayu is a boring subject, because it is a language subject. Language subjects are not interesting to me.
If I had the choice, I would not take SPM Bahasa Melayu because it is difficult and boring. However, surely it is compulsory for everyone so I had to take it.

English 1119:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: High, Interesting: Moderate)

SPM English is not easy, but it is not difficult as well. In fact, the level of English for SPM is quite low. SPM English is about as difficult as PMR English but surely it is much more difficult than UPSR English. SPM English consists of 2 papers. Paper 2 is slightly easier than Paper 1. Paper 1 is made up of Directed Writing and Continuous Writing. Paper 2 is made up of Stimuli & Rational Cloze, Information Transfer, Comprehension and Literature. All sections are not difficult. However, only 1 hours 45 minutes is given for Paper 1, which is not sufficient. I always had to rush when answering English Paper 1. Information Transfer is the easiest section, except that many tend to rush and make careless mistake in this section. The Literature Component is not difficult, because you can make full preparations on it before the exam. The poems, short stories and drama are quite simple, but the novel is a bit complicated.
SPM English is very important. Now, in order to pass the SPM and enter Form 6, you must pass SPM English. If you applying for universities, scholarships or matriculation, whether locally or internationally, you must score well in SPM English. If you fail SPM English, you will fail the entire SPM and the SPM certificate will not be given. It is not very interesting because it is a language subject. But because I often speak English at home and I am quite good at it, I still liked this subject.
If I had the choice, I would still take it as it is not difficult and very important. But surely SPM English is compulsory for everyone.

Mathematics:
(Difficulty: Low, Importance: High, Interesting: High)

Mathematics is definitely the easiest among the SPM subjects. This reason is that it does not require studying. You only need to understand it and know how to apply it. SPM Mathematics is a bit more difficult than PMR Mathematics and definitely much more difficult than UPSR Mathematics. SPM Mathematics consists of 2 papers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have the same difficulty. Although there is no need to show workings in Paper 1, Paper 1 is not easier than Paper 2 because only 1 hours 15 minutes is given, which is not very sufficient. The only thing is that SPM Mathematics will test you on Form 1 to Form 3 topics besides the Form 4 and Form 5 topics. Most SPM revision books do not have notes on Form 1 to Form 3 topics, and many students tend to forget the Form 1 to Form 3 topics.
SPM Mathematics is very important. Although you need not pass it to pass the SPM, most careers and fields of study requires knowledge on Mathematics. If you want to get a job or further your studies, you must score well in Mathematics. SPM Mathematics is very interesting. This is because I started learning Mathematics since when I was small and I am very good at Mathematics.
If I had the choice, I would definitely take it as it is easy, important and interesting. However, SPM Mathematics is compulsory for everybody.

Additional Mathematics:
(Difficulty: Low, Importance: High, Interesting: High)

SPM Additional Mathematics is quite easy. This is because it does not require studying. You only need to understand it and know how to apply it. Still, SPM Additional Mathematics is much more difficult than SPM Mathematics. SPM Additional Mathematics is made up of 2 papers. Paper 1 is easier than Paper 2. The reason is Paper 1 consists of short questions while Paper 2 consists of long questions. Although 2 hours 30 minutes is given for Paper 2, the time is not very sufficient. Many students think that Additional Mathematics is difficult because they do not know the correct techniques to study it.
SPM Additional Mathematics is very important. Although you do not have to pass it to pass the SPM, many careers and fields of study requires knowledge on Additional Mathematics. If you want to get a job or further your studies, scoring well in SPM Additional Mathematics is an advantage. Even if you do not take SPM Additional Mathematics, you still have to learn all the topics in this subject when you are in Form 6 or Matriculation. SPM Additional Mathematics is very interesting. The reason is I started learning Mathematics since when I was small and I am very good at Additional Mathematics.
If I had the choice, I would definitely take it as it is easy, important and interesting. Actually, SPM Additional Mathematics is not compulsory, even for Science Stream students. However, SMK Sultan Badlishah make Additional Mathematics compulsory for all students.

Chemistry:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: High, Interesting: High)

SPM Chemistry is moderately difficult. It is difficult to understand but easy to memorize and easy to apply. SPM Chemistry is much more difficult than PMR Science. SPM Chemistry is made up of 3 papers. Usually, Paper 2 is the easiest while Paper 3 is the most difficult. Paper 1 is objective questions, Paper 2 is structured and essay questions while Paper 3 is experiment questions. For Paper 3, question 2 is easy as long as you have prepared for it but question 1 is quite difficult to score sometimes. Paper 2 is not difficult as the questions are direct, except for questions involving describing experiments. Paper 1 is not simple too because it has many calculation questions.
SPM Chemistry is very important. Among the 3 science subjects, Chemistry is the most important as it is the core subject for Science. Physics and Biology are related to Chemistry. Many science-related careers requires knowledge in Chemistry. Although you need not pass Chemistry to pass the SPM, you need to have good results in Chemistry if you want to enter Science Stream in Form 6, Matriculation or universities. SPM Chemistry is interesting because I am interested in Science.
If I had the choice, I would definitely take it as it is interesting and important. SPM Chemistry is compulsory for all Science Stream students. Since all students of SMK Sultan Badlishah is in Science stream, Chemistry is compulsory for them.

Physics:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: High, Interesting: High)

SPM Physics is moderately difficult. It is difficult to apply but easy to memorize and easy to understand. SPM Physics is much more difficult than PMR Science. SPM Physics consists of 3 papers. Usually, Paper 3 is the easiest while Paper 2 is the most difficult. Paper 1 is objective questions, Paper 2 is structured and essay questions while Paper 3 is experiment questions. For Paper 3, section B is easy as long as you prepare for it because you can choose between 2 questions and you only need 3 steps for the Procedure, while section A is also easy because it involves very little explanations. Paper 2 is difficult because the essay questions involve choosing and making suggestions for the best characteristics. Paper 1 is not easy because most of the questions involve calculations.
SPM Physics is very important. Physics is slightly more important than Biology. Some science-related careers requires knowledge in Physics. Although you need not pass Physics to pass the SPM, having good results in Physics is an advantage if you want to enter Science Stream in Form 6, Matriculation or universities. SPM Physics is interesting because I am interested in Science.
If I had the choice, I would definitely take it as it is interesting and important. Actually, SPM Physics is not compulsory for Science-stream students, as long as they take Biology. However, SMK Sultan Badlishah made Physics compulsory for all students.

Biology:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: High, Interesting: High)

SPM Biology is moderately difficult. It is difficult to memorize but easy to understand and easy to apply. SPM Biology is much more difficult than PMR Science. SPM Biology consists of 3 papers. Usually, Paper 1 is the easiest while Paper 3 is the most difficult. Paper 1 is objective questions, Paper 2 is structured and essay questions while Paper 3 is experiment questions. For Paper 3, Question 2 is not easy because the Procedure is usually quite long while Question 1 is quite difficult because each part of the question carries 3 marks. Paper 1 is quite easy because the questions are direct. Paper 2 is not easy because some questions are not direct.
SPM Biology is important. However, among the 3 science subjects, Biology is the least important. Still, some science-related careers requires knowledge in Biology. Although you need not pass Biology to pass the SPM, having good results in Biology is an advantage if you want to enter Science Stream in Form 6, Matriculation or universities. SPM Biology is interesting because I am interested in Science.
If I had the choice, I would definitely take it as it is interesting and important. SPM Biology is not compulsory for Science-stream students, as long as they take Physics. In SMK Sultan Badlishah, Biology is optional for students who take 9 subjects. SMK Sultan Badlishah made Biology compulsory for students who take 10 or more subjects.

Sejarah:
(Difficulty: High, Importance: Moderate, Interesting: Low)

SPM Sejarah is very difficult. This is because Sejarah have a lot of facts and explanations that you must memorise. However, it is not difficult to understand it. SPM Sejarah is much harder than PMR Sejarah. Form 5 topics are basically easier than Form 4 topics. The reason is Form 5 topics are mostly about Malaysia and we have learnt some of them during Form 3 or Form 2. SPM Sejarah is made up of 2 papers. Paper 1 is objective questions while Paper 2 is structured and essay questions. Paper 2 is much harder than Paper 1. Paper 1 is quite simple because the questions are objective questions. For Paper 2, the essay questions are easy to score but it requires a lot of studying and memorizing, while the structured questions are difficult to score as it requires thinking besides memorizing.
SPM Sejarah is moderately important. In order to pass the SPM and enter Form 6, you must pass Sejarah. If you fail Sejarah, you will fail the entire SPM and the SPM certificate will not be given. However, very few careers require knowledge in Sejarah. Having good results in SPM Sejarah will be an advantage if you apply for local universities, matriculation and scholarships. SPM Sejarah is a boring subject because it requires a lot of memorizing and the topics are not interesting. I disliked subjects which require memorizing.
If I had the choice, I will surely not take SPM Sejarah because it is boring and difficult. However, Sejarah is a compulsory subject for everybody.

Pendidikan Moral:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: Low, Interesting: Low)

SPM Pendidikan Moral is moderately difficult. SPM Pendidikan Moral only has 1 paper. The Pendidikan Moral paper has two sections. Section A is structured questions while Section B is essay questions. Section B is easier than Section A. For Pendidikan Moral, there are 36 nilai murni plus their definisi and kata kunci to be memorised. Facts in the Pendidikan Moral textbook] also have to be memorised. All the essay questions and about half of the structured questions in the Pendidikan Moral paper are about nilai murni. There remaining structured questions about Kandungan Akademik and KBKK. Questions about nilai murni are simple because you only need to memorize the nilai murni, penerangan and kata kunci. Questions about Kandungan Akademik are not difficult because you only need to memorise facts in the textbook. Question about KBKK is the most difficult because you need to think. It is difficult to score on KBKK questions because your answers may not be accepted if it is not on the marking scheme.
SPM Pendidikan Moral is not important. You need not pass Pendidikan Moral in order to pass the SPM. Very few careers requires knowledge on Pendidikan Moral. Although scoring well in Pendidikan Moral is not required when you apply for local or international universities, scholarships and matriculation, but if you score well in Pendidikan Moral it can give you an extra A+, which is very useful when applying for universities, scholarships and matriculation.
SPM Pendidikan Moral is boring because it requires memorizing. I disliked subjects which require memorizing.
If I had the choice, I will surely not take SPM Pendidikan Moral because it is boring and not important. However, Pendidikan Moral is a compulsory subject for all non-muslims except those who wish to take Pendidikan Islam instead.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT):
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: Low, Interesting: High)

SPM ICT is moderately difficult. It is difficult to apply but easy to understand and easy to memorize. SPM ICT has 2 papers. Paper 1 is Written Assessment while Paper 2 is Coursework. Most people can get full marks for Paper 2 as long as they complete their coursework. Paper 1 has 3 sections. Section A is the easiest while Section C is the most difficult. Section A is objective questions while Section B and Section C are structured questions. Section A is easy because the questions are direct. Section C is difficult because the questions are about giving suggestions. Section B is not difficult because the questions are direct, but it involves some explanations.
SPM ICT is not very important. You do not need to pass ICT to pass the SPM. There are not many careers which require the knowledge in ICT. Although scoring well in ICT is not required when you apply for local or international universities, scholarships and matriculation, but if you score well in ICT it can give you an extra A+, which is very useful when applying for universities, scholarships and matriculation. ICT is useful if you wish to further your studies in Computer Science. ICT is very interesting because it is about computers. I am interested in Computers.
I chose to take ICT because it is interesting and not difficult. In SMK Sultan Badlishah, ICT is completely optional. Everyone can choose whether to take or not to take ICT. However, everyone can only choose one between Prinsip Perakaunan, ICT, Reka Cipta and EST.

Bahasa Cina / 华文:
(Difficulty: High, Importance: Low, Interesting: Low)

SPM Bahasa Cina is very difficult. It is one of the most difficult among the SPM subjects. SPM Bahasa Cina is much more difficult than PMR Bahasa Cina and UPSR Bahasa Cina. SPM Bahasa Cina is made up of 2 papers. Paper 2 is much more difficult than Paper 1. Paper 1 is made up of Formatted Writing and Continuous Writing. Paper 2 is made up of Modern Text Comprehension, Classical Text Comprehension and Idioms. Formatted Writing and Idioms are quite simple. Continuous Writing is not difficult. However, Modern Text Comprehension and Classical Text Comprehension is very difficult because for most questions you cannot copy the answer directly form the passage given. Modern Text Comprehension and Classical Text Comprehension make up 90/200 (45%) of SPM Bahasa Cina. Recently, the format for SPM Bahasa Cina had changed. In the new format, all questions in Paper 2 are subjective and there are no more objective questions. The new format is as difficult as the old format. The minimum marks for A+ in SPM Bahasa Cina is very high, usually higher than others subjects by 5 marks. The reason is that many students who are weak in this subject tend to drop it. As a result, most students who take this subject are those who can score quite well. This makes the performance graph of this subject to be high and therefore the minimum marks for A+ is high.
SPM Bahasa Cina is not important. You need not pass Bahasa Cina to pass the SPM. Not many careers require the knowledge in Bahasa Cina. However, this subject is useful if you want to study or work in China. Bahasa Cina can be taken as a 'matapelajaran tambahan' in SPM. However, if you want to apply for the JPA overseas scholarship, you need to score A+ in all SPM subjects including Bahasa Cina. Also, if you do not score well in it, when you go for an interview, your impression can be affected. SPM Bahasa Cina is not interesting because it is a language subject. Language subject is not interesting for me.
Initially, I took SPM Bahasa Cina because I am a Chinese and this is my responsibility. However, later I dropped Bahasa Cina because it is difficult and boring. I am also worried that it affect my SPM if I don't score well. SPM Bahasa Cina is completely optional. Howver, in SMJK Chio Min, Bahasa Cina is compulsory for all Chinese students who come from Chinese primary school.

Kesusasteraan Cina / 中国文学:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: Low, Interesting: Low)

Kesusasteraan Cina is moderately difficult. SPM Kesusasteraan Cina is significantly easier than SPM Bahasa Cina. This is because you can make full preparations on it before the SPM and during the SPM this subject will only test you on what you have learnt. SPM Kesusasteraan Cina only has 1 paper. In this subject, you need to learn 3 books. One is anthology, one is novel and the other is drama. The same books are used in both Form 4 and Form 5. The books are not difficult, and the questions are not difficult to answer. For the previous year SPM, however, in the whole Malaysia nobody got A+ in Kesusasteraan Cina.
SPM Kesusasteraan Cina is not important. You need not pass Kesusasteraan Cina to pass the SPM. Not many careers require the knowledge in Kesusasteraan Cina. However, this subject is useful if you want to study or work in China. Kesusasteraan Cina can be taken as a 'matapelajaran tambahan' in SPM. However, if you want to apply for the JPA overseas scholarship, you need to score A+ in all SPM subjects including Kesusasteraan Cina. Also, if you do not score well in it, when you go for an interview, your impression can be affected. SPM Kesusasteraan Cina is not interesting because it is a language subject. Language subject is not interesting for me.
I once considered taking Kesusasteraan Cina to replace Bahasa Cina because it is easier than Bahasa Cina. However, later I found out that Kesusasteraan Cina can only be taken if Bahasa Cina is taken. Since I dropped Bahasa Cina, I cannot take Kesusasteraan Cina. SPM Kesusasteraan Cina is completely optional. However, one must take SPM Bahasa Cina before one can take SPM Kesusasteraan Cina.

Reka Cipta:
(Difficulty: Low, Importance: Moderate, Interesting: Moderate)

SPM Reka Cipta is quite simple. SPM Reka Cipta is more difficult than PMR Kemahiran Hidup. SPM Reka Cipta has 2 papers. Paper 1 is Written Assessment while Paper 2 is Coursework. Most people can get full marks for Paper 2 as long as they complete their coursework. Paper 1 has 3 sections. Section A is the easiest while Section C is the most difficult. Section A is objective questions, Section B is structured questions while Section C is essay questions. Section A is easy because the questions are direct. Section C is difficult because it involve long explanations. Section B is not easy because it involve drawing and some explanations.
SPM Reka Cipta is moderately important. You do not need to pass Reka Cipta to pass the SPM. There are some careers which require the knowledge in Reka Cipta. Although scoring well in Reka Cipta is not required when you apply for local or international universities, scholarships and matriculation, but if you score well in Reka Cipta it can give you an extra A+, which is very useful when applying for universities, scholarships and matriculation. Reka Cipta is moderately interesting for me.
I once considered taking Reka Cipta in SPM because it is easy and I could score well in PMR Kemahiran Hidup. However, I chose SPM ICT so I did not take SPM Reka Cipta. In SMK Sultan Badlishah, Reka Cipta is completely optional. Everyone can choose whether to take or not to take Reka Cipta. However, everyone can only choose one between Prinsip Perakaunan, ICT, Reka Cipta and EST.

Prinsip Perakaunan:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: High, Interesting: Low)

SPM Prinsip Perakaunan is moderately difficult. SPM Prinsip Perakaunan has 2 papers. Paper 1 is easier than Paper 2. Paper 1 is objective questions while Paper 2 is subjective questions. Paper 1 is easy because the questions are objective questions. Paper 2 is difficult because it involves calculations, preparing accounts and explanations.
SPM Reka Cipta is important. You do not need to pass Prinsip Perakaunan to pass the SPM. There are many careers which require the knowledge in Prinsip Perakaunan. Although scoring well in Prinsip Perakuanan is not required when you apply for local or international universities, scholarships and matriculation, but if you score well in Prinsip Perakuanan it can give you an extra A+, which is very useful when applying for universities, scholarships and matriculation. Prinsip Perakuanan is useful if you wish to further your studies in Accounting. SPM Prinsip Perakaunan is not interesting because I am not interested in accounting.
I once considered taking Prinsip Perakaunan in SPM because it is important and useful. However, I chose SPM ICT so I did not take SPM Prinsip Perakaunan. In SMK Sultan Badlishah, Prinsip Perakaunan is completely optional. Everyone can choose whether to take or not to take Prinsip Perakaunan. However, everyone can only choose one between Prinsip Perakaunan, ICT, Reka Cipta and EST.

English for Science and Technology (EST):
(Difficulty: High, Importance: Low, Interesting: Low)

SPM EST is quite difficult. Although it don't seem to be difficult, the marking scheme of this subject in SPM is very strict. A little mistake can cause many marks to be deducted. SPM EST is much more difficult than SPM English. SPM EST is made up of 2 papers. Paper 2 is easier than Paper 1. Paper 1 is subjective questions while Paper 2 is objective questions. Paper 1 is difficult because the essay section may test you on what you don't know.
SPM EST is not important. You do not need to pass EST to pass the SPM. There are very few careers which require the knowledge in EST. Although scoring well in EST is not required when you apply for local or international universities, scholarships and matriculation, but if you score well in EST it can give you an extra A+, which is very useful when applying for universities, scholarships and matriculation. EST is useful when you do assignments in university. SPM EST is not interesting because it is a langauge subject. I am not interested in language subjects.
I once considered taking EST in SPM. However, I chose SPM ICT so I did not take SPM EST. In SMK Sultan Badlishah, EST is completely optional. Everyone can choose whether to take or not to take EST. However, everyone can only choose one between Prinsip Perakaunan, ICT, Reka Cipta and EST.

Geografi:
(Difficulty: Moderate, Importance: Low, Interesting: Moderate)

SPM Geografi is moderately difficult. In SPM Geografi, there are some facts and explanations that you must memorise. However, it is not difficult to understand it. SPM Geografi is harder than PMR Geografi. The topics in SPM Geografi are similar to the topics in PMR Geografi. SPM Geografi is made up of 2 papers. Paper 1 is objective questions while Paper 2 is structured and essay questions. Paper 2 is much harder than Paper 1. Paper 1 is quite simple because the questions are objective questions. For Paper 2, the structured and essay questions requires a lot of studying and memorizing.
SPM Geografi is moderately important. You need not pass Geografi to pass the SPM. Very few careers require knowledge in Geografi. Although scoring well in EST is not required when you apply for local or international universities, scholarships and matriculation, but if you score well in EST it can give you an extra A+, which is very useful when applying for universities, scholarships and matriculation. SPM Geografi is moderately interesting. Some of the topics are interesting while some of the topics are not interesting.
I once considered taking SPM Geografi to replace SPM Bahasa Cina because it is not difficult. However, later I decided not to because SPM Geografi has 3 essay questions to answer and requires memorizing like Sejarah. SPM Geografi is completely optional for everybody. However, SPM Geografi is not offered in SMK Sultan Badlishah.

These are my opinions on the subjects in SPM. Soon, I will write about the tips to score in each of the subjects in this blog. If you want to know the tips, visit this blog regularly.

  3. Hi,I am still confused by some of your facts on Bahasa Melayu,English and the optional subjects like Biology,Chemistry and Physics.I am a teacher and I have been teaching Chemistry,Physics and Biology for quite some time already. In truth Paper 3 is the easiest to score while Paper 1 and Paper 2 requires lots of understanding and analytical skills. Most of the questions are application questions so it is definitely not the easiest sort of papers among the three. The probable reason on Paper 3 being easy is because most of the experiments will be conducted by us teachers during PEKA so it is not definitely that hard to score in them.

While for BM and English,SPM BM has the lowest score rate among the others.Credit rate is high but the number of students getting A in BM is not to that expectation because SPM BM is thoroughly complex and fully involves writing and the tendency to make grammatical errors are very high compared to the PMR BM which is by far easier.

For English I am still confused in yr explanation as our National Syllabus English is way tougher than the IGCSE English as it involves critical questions and you are expected to have vast amount of general knowledge and vocabulary in order to score.

Despite all these explanation,I congratulate you on posting elaborate explanations on the subjects however I hope you would recorrect the statements as it may be wrongly perceived by those who are about to take these subjects.

    1. You should take it only if you are truly interested in that subject and you do not feel too stressful studying for 11 subjects. Otherwise, taking 10 subjects will be enough.
